First Ultrasound Yesterday!

Yesterday was our first ultrasound in Morristown at 12 weeks 6 days.

Baby is currently measuring in at 7cm, which the technician said was a little big but all the books say is right on track so who knows?

It was so awesome to see the little flutter of a heartbeat and all the other movement. Baby was kicking and squirming around, and even opened and closed his/her mouth.

I'll admit, I dropped a tear or two. Evan was really excited about it too. He was watching the same monitor the technician was using, and was explaining everything to me because he thought I was just lying there with nothing to do. He didn't realize there was another monitor up on the wall for me to watch. It was cute.

So the ultrasound was great and baby is as healthy as can be. We go back in 8 weeks for a more in depth ultrasound, and we may even find out which pronoun to use by that point so I can stop saying "baby this" and "baby that" all the time!
